Wow, this is an incredibly moving story, though it’s sad to think how much the future of this organization is in doubt given the future of the country, with the Taliban likely to regain power following America’s exit in 2014 this kind of thing is likely to be banned and repressed again. :-(

Happy 30th MIDI, in some ways you may be woefully out of date, but nothing’s ever matched your universal usability or simplicity, remarkable that any tech would still be widely used essentially in its original form after 3 decades.
Happened to notice a mention of this band in the New York Times this morning, & then their debut album (which came out today) was on the front page in Spotify, gave them a try and ended up largely loving this album, this song in particular. Check them out!

The crazy futuristic sports inspired video for Justice’s new single “New Lands”. A sight to behold.
I know I’ve mostly been sharing the occasional video here so far, but bear with me for now, this is pretty darn impressive, the theme to Harry Potter played entirely with differently pitched wine glasses. The best part of this for me is because of the tone produced by wine glasses, it sounds similar to the way the score was arranged for Cuaron’sPrisoner of Azkaban.
